About the WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase Championship Series
The WIHS Shetland Pony Steeplechase races are a unique and adorable twist on professional steeplechase racing. These races feature junior jockeys and miniature mounts, creating an exciting and entertaining event that has captured the attention of many.
The combination of skilled young riders and adorable ponies jumping hurdles is a sight to behold. These races are a testament to the passion and creativity of the organizers, U.S. Pony Racing, as well as the talent and dedication of the young jockeys who participate. The series championship final will be held at the 67th Annual Washington International Horse Show, Oct. 20-26, 2025, at The Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Md.
