To be eligible for a press credential, you must meet the following criteria: 

1. Be associated with or on assignment for a recognized publication, news service, website, radio or television station;
2. Submit a letter of assignment or email from the assigning editor or publisher, with the request for press credentials; OR
3. Submit a copy of your published article or photograph, published within the last year.

Editors assigning more than one photographer are asked to designate ONE primary photographer.

Press credentials must be requested using the form below. Those approved for credentials will be contacted by the media office. Please complete this form to apply for a media credential. 

Eligibility

Approved private photographers/videographers may only photograph or film a maximum of ten (10) horses. Photography or videography of other exhibitors, horses, or clients is strictly prohibited – unless otherwise approved by management – including serving as a “second shooter” for other photographers. Only one pass will be given per company. Photographers/Videographers must submit proof of Accident Liability insurance with payment prior to arrival.

Credential Fee
The fee for a Private Photographer/Videographer credential is $1,000.

Credential Limit
A maximum of approximately five (5) private photographers and two (2) videographers will be approved. Photographer/videographers will be approved at the discretion of show management. Applicants will be notified of acceptance after September 21.   Photographer/videographers must submit their list of horses within one week following their approval and the release of qualified entries. Photographer/videographers may not solicit, substitute, or add new clients once this application has been approved. Any substitutions to the list must be finalized by Sunday, October 18.   Credentials are non-transferable. Credentials must be worn at all times when shooting. Payment in full is required by Friday, October 16. An invoice for payment will be sent once applications are approved. All Photographer/Videographers must submit proof of Accident Liability Insurance with payment prior to arrival.

Designated Areas
Private photographers and videographers must remain within designated private photographer areas at all times while capturing images or video. Photographer/videographers may not shoot from sectioned-off areas of the arena floor, in front of the VIP platform, or the in-gate. Photographer/videographers are allowed in the arena for presentations of their listed horses only and must give priority position to the official photographer. Seats in the Media Center are first come, first served and priority is given to accredited media. Photographers/videographers may not place remote camera equipment in or alongside the arena. Photographers may not conduct portrait sessions on the horse show grounds at any time.

Dress Code
All private photographers and videographers must adhere to a business casual dress code. Jeans, mini skirts, and any other unprofessional attire are not permitted.

Compliance
Failure to comply with this policy or any directives from show management will result in immediate revocation of credentials. No refund of fees will be given. The Washington International Horse Show reserves the right to enforce this policy at its sole discretion to ensure the integrity and professionalism of the event.
