Leesburg, VA – (September 8, 2007) – More than 125 riders competed during the second day of Local Weekend at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA. Children and adults of all ages rode for top honors and the chance to ride at the 49th Annual Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) at the Verizon Center in downtown Washington , DC.
Today’s event included the following divisions: Children’s Hunter 14 & Under, Children’s Hunter 15-17, Medium Pony Hunter, Novice Equitation, Short Stirrup Equitation, Short Stirrup Hunter, Intermediate Equitation, Modified Hunter, Special Hunter and Low Children’s/Adult Hunter. The top four riders in the Children’s Hunter 14 & Under, Children’s Hunter 15-17 and Medium Pony Hunter will qualify to compete at Local Finals at the WIHS.

Reserve Champion – Femme Fatale ridden by Bari Friedman
Medium Pony Hunter:
Champion – Betty Boop ridden by Alexis Sicher
Reserve Champion – Time Flies ridden by Nora Jodrey
