The WIHS Equitation Finals and WIHS Pony Equitation Finals presented by Huntland are highlights of show week for junior riders, who compete throughout the year to qualify at more than 600 shows held throughout the country.
The 2023 qualifying period runs Sept. 1, 2022, through Aug, 31, 2023.
Riders must be WIHS members for points to count toward the finals. If you’re not already a member, sign up and start earning points for the 2023 WIHS Equitation Finals and the WIHS Pony Equitation Finals presented by Huntland.
Third in the finals in 2021, Augusta Iwasaki, 19 of Calabassas, CA, and Attendu de Lannois Z, a nine-year-old Zangersheide gelding owned by Ashland Farms, held off a very talented field of 40 in the rigorous three-phase competition–hunter, jumper then a work-off for the top 10, where they switched mounts. Two panels of judges including Linda Andrisani with Peter Lombardo and Heather Caristo-Williams with Hardin Towell, winner of this class in 2006, awarded the marks.
