Prize List Now Online for 2020 WIHS Regional Horse Show & USHJA Zone 3 Championship

WASHINGTON, Sept. 11, 2020–The prize list for the 2020 WIHS Regional Horse Show & USHJA Zone 3 Championship presented by TTR Sotheby’s International Realty is now available online. Scheduled for October 15-18 at Morven Park International Equestrian Center in Leesburg, VA, the show will feature expanded offerings.

  • Entries open Monday, September 14, 2020
  • Entries close Monday, October 5, 2020.
A popular stop on the mid-Atlantic horse show circuit, the WIHS Regional Horse Show showcases local riders in an exciting competition environment, and will continue in 2020 with COVID-19 protocols to provide as contactless and safe an experience for competitors as possible.
 
The protocols will include mandatory masks, social distancing enforcement, online entry and check-in, and no spectator access. Additional information regarding COVID-19 procedures will be available soon.
 
“We are grateful that together with Morven Park International Equestrian Center and dedicated sponsors like TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, we will be able to welcome competitors to this very special competition this year,” said WIHS President Victoria Lowell.
 
“With year-end championships, classes for hunter, jumper, equitation and even lead line riders, as well as the selection of the Laura Pickett Excellence in Horsemanship Award, we look forward to another enjoyable and successful year.”

The WIHS Regional Horse Show is proud to host the USHJA Zone 3 Championship again this year on Sunday, October 18. Approximately the top 18 horses in each division, based on total USHJA points, will be invited to compete, and if invitations are not accepted, additional horses will be invited. Accepted riders will be listed on Horseshowing.com.
 
The WIHS Regional also serves as a qualifier for the WIHS Children’s and Adult Hunter and Jumper Championships presented by MARS EquestrianTM which will be held this year at Tryon International Equestrian Center on Oct. 21-22.
