Eligibility: Approximately 29 horse/rider combinations will be accepted based on points earned during the qualifying period. In addition, the overall children’s and adult hunter champions at the 2026 WIHS Regional Horse Show & USHJA Zone 3 Championship, automatically will qualify. Riders are limited to showing two horses in the Hunter Championships. Riders may not compete in any other hunter class at the Washington International Horse Show. Horses may not compete in any other class at the WIHS except the WIHS Equitation Finals.

Format: Competitors will be judged on performance and soundness with suitability and manners to count. To be scored under the open numerical judging system. Each competitor will jump one round of approximately 10 fences. The 12 horses with the highest scores from the first round will return to jump a second round. In the event of a tie that affects the selection of the top 12, one judge’s score will be designated as the tie breaker. The scores of the 12 horses/ponies in the second round will be added to their first-round scores and placed in order of their total score for the two rounds.

Horses/ponies tied for first place only will jump a third round over a shortened course. Ties for all other places will remain tied. Formal attire is required. To be shown over a course of approximately 10 jumps not to exceed 3′ in height with spreads to 3′.

Eligibility: Approx. 25 horse/rider combinations will be accepted, based on points accumulated in WIHS qualifying classes during the qualifying period.  Riders are limited to showing two horses in the Jumper Championships. Riders may not compete in any other jumper class at the Washington International Horse Show. Horses may not compete in any other class at the WIHS except the WIHS Equitation Finals.

Format: Classes will be run under Table II, Sec. 2(a). Time First Jump-Off. The first round and first jump-off, if any, are decided by adding together the faults incurred over the course and any penalties for exceeding the time allowed. In the event of equality of faults after the first round, there will be one jump-off for the first place in which time will decide in the event of equality of faults. Time in the first round will decide between horses tied for other than first place. To be shown over a course of approximately 10 jumps.

Eligibility: Pony Jumper will accept approximately 21 pony/rider combinations (7 Small, 7 medium, 7 Large). Pony Jumper riders are limited to 2 ponies in the finals, no more than 1 per height.
