Daytime admission is free every day (Monday-Sunday). No ticket required.
Tickets are required for evening performances (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights).

WIHS offers five ticket choices:

    “Watch and dine” in the best seats at the Washington International Horse Show. Collect your hot buffet-style dinner and beverages, then eat at your seat. Includes unlimited refills of a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Each adult ticket also includes two servings of beer/wine.
  • Premium Ticket
  • Select Ticket
  • Standard Ticket: The most inexpensive reserved seat ticket per night.
    • Barn Night, Thursday, Oct. 24: $25 adult, $20 child
    • Military Night, Friday, Oct. 25: $25 adult, $20 child
    • World Cup Night, Saturday, Oct 26: $50 adult, $40 child

MARS barn night

It’s MARS Barn Night at WIHS! In the first of three nights of exciting jumping,  International Jumpers get underway with the $63,000 Welcome Stake followed by a crowd favorite, the International Jumper Accumulator Costume Class, where the top riders go wild with fun and surprising costumes for both horse and rider! Visit Barn Night to learn more. Coming as a group? Use this Barn Night form to simplify the process. 

Winners of the Barn Night Contests will be named at Barn Night.

Friday, Oct 25
Military Night presented by Nissan OF BOWIE

Military Night at WIHS is all about power and speed. International riders are in the saddle for the Speed Final and the NEW Power and Speed class (look for the American flag Jump for TAPS!).

*US Military and First Responder ticket offer for Military Night. Open to active, retired, reserve and disabled veterans, and law enforcement, paramedics, EMS, EMTs and firefighters: 50% off any ticket, adult or child, except ‘Ticket & Dinner.’ Available only at The Show Place Arena Box Office and Select Military Ticket Offices, with Military ID, VA Beneficiary ID and first responders IDs.

World Cup Night

Saturday is World Cup Night and the ring will be electric as top horses and riders from around the world take center stage for the $340,000 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Washington CSI5*-W for the President’s Cup presented by Experience Prince George’s with the biggest, most challenging jumps and the largest purse of the show.

But first, it’s the work-off for the three-phase WIHS Equitation Final, where a panel of judges will determine who among the talented junior riders will be named WIHS Equitation Champion.

Monday, Oct 21 - day

Opening day at WIHS 2024 kicks off with top professional High Performance and Green Hunter competition. Riders have campaigned all year to qualify for WIHS and will be in top form. The finals for the WIHS Children’s and Adult Hunter Championships will determine the best in the country. Leaders at the WIHS Regional Horse Show will jump for their championship.

Tuesday, Oct 22 - day

High Performance and Green Hunters are back in the ring for their final classes before the champions and leading riders are named. Amateur Owner Hunters, younger and older, will jump in 3’3″ and 3’6″ then hack. Concluding the afternoon, the WIHS Children’s and Adult Jumper Championships get underway for the year’s best. 

Wednesday, Oct 23 - day

Amateur Owner Handy Hunter, younger and older, will jump 3’3″ and 3’6″ and hack for their championships. Then, the Low, Medium and High Junior and Amateur Owner Jumpers are in the ring for their first classes of the show. 

Thursday, Oct 24 - day

Small and Large Junior Hunters start off the day with two age groups competing. Then Low, Medium and High Junior and Amateur Owner Jumpers are back for their Time First Round classes. 

Friday, Oct 25 – day

Small and Large Junior Hunters are back for their stake and under saddle classes before the champions are named. Today hunter phase starts off the rigorous three-phase WIHS Equitation Finals for junior riders. Closing the afternoon, the Low Junior and Amateur Owner Jumper riders compete in the Jumper Classic before the champion is decided.

Saturday, Oct 26 – day

Today you’ll see the very best youngsters on ponies at the start of their riding careers. Then the Medium Junior and Amateur Owner riders jump for their division championships, followed by the High Junior and Amateur Owner jumper riders in the Hall of Fame Jumper Classic, their most challenging class. You may spot a future Olympian among the riders on the final day of the WIHS Equitation Finals, where riders compete in the jumper phase in the afternoon and the final work-off for the championship in the evening. 

Sunday, Oct 27 – day

On Sunday morning, the top small, medium and large pony hunters in the country will compete in handy and stake classes, and the Grand Champion Pony Hunter and Best Child Rider on a Pony will be named. Then the WIHS Pony Equitation Finals will be contested to determine the champion. 

To celebrate Halloween and conclude a great show week at WIHS, the WIHS Halloween Hunt Teams event with teams of three costumed riders and horses, will conclude the show. See you next year!
