WASHINGTON, Nov. 5–Here’s to the remarkable horses and riders,
sponsors and friends, volunteers, supporters and fans, who together have made WIHS such a

special horse show for the past 60 years!

As the 60th anniversary Washington International Horse Show (WIHS) comes to a close, the entirety of the WIHS team extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to all of the riders, sponsors, supporters, staff, spectators, friends, fans, and volunteers who have made this incredible horse show possible for the last 60 years!
As we reflect on all of the incredible moments, memories, and milestones of the past 60 years, it’s tough to put into words how much the horse show means to everyone involved and what it is that makes it so special.

Guy McLean put it best in this heartfelt tribute:

“Ten years past a half a century of the equine elite in their field,
converging on the capitol city, with glory and riches to yield.
The Washington International, a horse show world renowned,
has given a million fine memories with stories of greatness abound.
“From the highest of station in life, to the regular man on the street,
this show has brought light to the masses, so that horses can lay down their feats of equine athletic perfection bright enough to blind out the sun.
When man and horse join together to display when two become one…
“May its journey be just the beginning. May it always be here to astound.”
– Guy McLean
